Psychologically informed Executive Coaching
and Leadership Development
As an Executive and Leadership Development coach, my main focus is working with individuals in challenging leadership roles, or with those about to step into them, both in the private, public and third sectors. As a Research Psychologist, chartered with the British Psychological Society, I bring an extensive background of psychological safety, knowledge and experience to all my coaching conversations.
Today’s fast paced, complex workplace environments can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stressed and isolated. Psychologically informed coaching with me provides a reflective space to develop and understand what’s going on 'beneath the surface' in your role and across your teams and organisation. Common and costly issues than our conversations help with including stopping stress and burnout and finding solutions to difficult team dynamics.
All our work together starts with a free thirty minute discovery call, where we explore your current leadership and personal challenges, gaining insight and understanding that will be applicable to your specific role.
I typically offer leaders two 1:1 coaching programmes:-
- Getting Started Programme: A single two-hour session , in which we work together using psychologically informed thinking to understand, reflect on and address your current specific challenges in your leadership role in a safe environment.
- In-Depth Programme: Six or eight sessions of ninety minutes each, taking place at monthly intervals, giving us time to work deeply together and reflect on on operational and strategic goals for yourself, your team and your wider organisation .We cover all aspects of your current role and include leadership development and emotional awareness,. The psychological insights we generate by thinking together can then be applied and tested in between sessions. We pay attention to what emerges in our conversations that we wouldn’t necessary have predicted, bringing new and productive ways to lead and increased value for stakeholders.
"I felt completely listened to, understood and supported throughout the sessions – enabling me to move on from challenging work situations with positivity and agency",
In-Depth Programme feedback, 2025

Are present in the contracting of the coaching terms and conditions and throughout our work together. Communicating with transparency and clarity
Working together to develop your self-awareness and work towards your goals in the context of often complex workplace dynamics. Consistently locating your individual experiences within your leadership role, and the wider organisation.
Helping you make sense of emotions and patterns that are present for you. This includes exploring the unconscious processes and the ‘below the surface’ feelings, which can be better understood and contained by talking together.
Working in the ‘here-and-now’ of our sessions. Offering well timed, accurate and authentic reflections of your thoughts and feelings to further develop your understanding.
Incorporating regular review conversations, especially when developmental goals or organisational contexts change over our time. This leads overall to the greater integration of your thoughts and feelings into clear actions and a shift in focus from the presenting issues to solutions and new ways of working.
